Shea’s Birthday Bars February 27, 2008

Filed under: Dessert — cookinghussy @ 8:51 am

Every year, my co-worker Shea gets older. Older and older and older. To make this annual day a little less painful, I’ve been making her these lovely birthday bars. The ingredient list is 3 items long and it took me about 5 minutes to make yesterday, so yeah. This is easy.

1 large bag Milky Way candy bars (Fun Size!)
1/2 stick of butter
3ish cups of Rice Krispies

In a large bowl, open all the Milky Way candy bars and place in the bowl. Cut up the butter and toss in as well. Melt in the microwave for about 3 minutes total, stirring every minute or so. It’s done when it’s all melted together. Dump in cereal and stir. Now pour mixture into a square dish and mash down. Let cool and cut and eat. Done.

Notes: These taste good.

Servings: 20 bars

Every year I get another year older and about 35 pounds heavier thanks to Cooking Hussy! She really knows how to make aging feel good.

Seriously, though, you must make these. They are phenomenal.
